Maestro For a Day

Dear Friend of all things Jazz!

We are very excited to announce that Jazz Education Inc. (JEI) is on the cusp of celebrating 50 Seasons of Excellence with August Jazz Month!

  • Would you or your organization like to be a part of something special?
  • Do you want to help provide financial assistance for middle and high school students to attend the intensive 5-week Summer Jazz Workshop (SJW) AND also help with funding college scholarships for Summer Jazz Workshop participants
  • Would you like to assist Jazz Education Inc. a 501 (c) (3) organization that has been in existence for almost 50 years and trained over 15,000 students, in continuing its journey of “Changing Lives Through Music”?
  • Wouldn’t it be great to create a memory that will last a lifetime by directing the SJW All Star Band with the Baton of the world-renowned Maestro Arturo Toscanini?
  • If your answer is a resounding YES to any of those questions, Jazz Education Inc. would like to graciously present an opportunity for YOU to become a Maestro for a day in our Guest Conductors Series!

Your Maestro debut will be during the Summer Jazz Workshop Scholarship Jazz Brunch on August 4, 2019 at the beautiful Junior League of Houston. Your participation in this event is greatly needed and humbly appreciated.

Jazz Education Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that has been providing music education and training to students for almost 50 years. The SJW is an exciting and challenging program which focuses on the fundamentals of music and its associated business aspects for young musicians. The knowledge, skills and real-life business situations shared with the students by our experienced faculty, musicians and recording artists are not offered by private and/or public-school systems.

The Summer Jazz Workshop is a large program under the JEI umbrella, but it’s so very important to note that the Music In The Schools (Jazz and Poetry Series) is a very vital program as well, serving over 10,000 children annually. The SJW, along with year-long performance opportunities, have produced some of the best forward thinking, confident and musically equipped students. Many of the students have become successful Jazz recording artists, band and music instructors, doctors, lawyers and productive members in their communities! Without a doubt some of the finest student musicians have come through Jazz Education Inc. programming.

Attached is the sponsorship information for this exciting opportunity. For more information on how you can support this worthy organization and be a Maestro for a day, contact Ms. Crystal Edwards at (832) 388-1039 or Jazz Education Inc. at (713) 839-7000.
